On behalf of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), it is our tremendous pleasure to bring our very successful SCAI Course on Cardiogenic Shock to Shock Teams across the Middle East Region.
The inaugural SCAI Shock Middle East 2020 aims to provide a comprehensive review of the diagnosis and management of cardiogenic shock, including non-invasive and invasive diagnosis, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and assessment, and contemporary treatment, with an aim to ultimately improve the mortality. The desired goal of SCAI Shock Middle East is to change clinician competence in the management of patients with pre-shock and cardiogenic shock and use of circulatory support devices.
Proper care of cardiogenic shock necessitates a team-based approach with interventional cardiologists, heart failure specialists, critical care physicians, surgeons, techs, nurses and others all on the same page. This is why we encourage members of the whole Shock Team attend this meeting.
SCAI is a 5,000-member professional organization representing invasive and interventional cardiologists in over 75 countries. SCAI’s mission is to promote excellence in invasive/interventional cardiovascular medicine through physician and allied health professional education, advocacy, and advancement of quality standards to enhance patient care.
We have carefully prepared the scientific agenda with the very latest hot topics in the field and the sessions have been designed to encourage audience interaction and participation.
Our major goal as cardiovascular specialists is to improve patient outcomes. We hope that the ideas and concepts we discuss at this program will provide you a new way of approaching the challenges we all face in the care of cardiogenic shock patient, and have an impact on your everyday practice.
We look forward to engaging with you and encourage your valuable feedback on this program.
